Faith Prince To Record Live CD During Royal Room Run 4/13-4/16

Tony Award winner Faith Prince will be recording a live CD during her stint at Palm Beach's Royal Room at the Colony Hotel from April 13-16. This will be the performer's fifth engagement at the Royal Room.

Faith Prince won a Tony Award for her portrayal of Miss Adelaide in the 1992 Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls and was nominated for another for her recent performance in A Catered Affair. Prince has also appeared on Broadway in The Little Mermaid, Bells Are Ringing (Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Circle Critics nominations), Nick & Nora (Outer Circle Critics Award), Jerome Robbins' Broadway (Tony and Drama Desk nominations), Little Me, The Dead and Noises Off. She also starred in the world premiere of Terrence McNally's Unusual Acts of Devotion. She guest starred on Lifetime's hit series Drop Dead Diva in the role of Brooke Elliott's mother, Elaine. Other recent guest starring roles have included Ugly Betty, Medium and CSI. She was a series regular on Showtime's Huff starring as Kelly Knipers, the lovable and quirky love interest of Oliver Platt. Prince recurred for five seasons on Spin City. Other television credits include the self-titled series Faith, Sweet Potato Queens, Grey's Anatomy, House, Monk, Now and Again, Welcome To New York and Law and Order. Film credits include Our Very Own with Allison Janney and Cheryl Hines, Picture Perfect, Dave, and My Father the Hero. Prince works often with The Boston Pops, the Utah Symphony, the Cincinnati Pops, The Philadelphia Pops and other renowned orchestras. She toured her one-woman show, Moving On, in Australia to rave reviews. She also toured in Over the Rainbow, a concert celebrating the centennial of Harold Arlen. A live recording of her award-winning show entitled A Leap of Faith was recorded at Joe's Pub in New York, and is available on DRG records. Prince recently starred in the concert version of Sweeney Todd with the Orlando Philharmonic.

The Colony Hotel's celebraTed Royal Room - which The Palm Beach Post has hailed as "probably the best place for cabaret on the planet" - plans another sizzling, song-filled Fall 2009 & Season 2010 featuring some really hot headliners straight from Broadway and Manhattan's most sophisticated cabarets.

Furthermore, the incredible music at The Colony isn't limited to the celebraTed Royal Room. The hotel's excellent Polo Steakhouse is featuring "Motown Friday Nights" every week with the multi-talented R&B band Memory Lane. Music starts at 9 p.m. and goes through midnight or later. On Saturday evenings you will be entertained by The Switzer Trio during Rob Russell 's Cast Party lasting until midnight or beyond.
