One of WFUV Music Director Rita Houston's favorites bands of 2009, West London's Mumford & Sons, will play a live concert exclusively for WFUV members at MSR/Legacy Studios. Airing on WFUV (90.7 FM, www.wfuv.org) on Wednesday, February 17 at 1:00 PM EST, the concert/interview is Mumford & Sons only stateside media appearance other than a performance on CBS's Late Show with David Letterman. Rita Houston hosts.
Since they formed in December 2007, the members of Mumford & Sons have shared a common purpose: to make music that matters, without taking themselves too seriously. Four young men from West London in their early twenties, they have fire in their bellies, romance in their hearts, and rapture in their masterful, melancholy voices.
