Christopher Jackson stopped by yesterday's GOOD DAY NY to talk about starring as Founding Father George Washington in the hit Broadway musical, Hamilton. The actor was greeted by hosts Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto, decked out in baffoonish period costumes in 'honor' of the show. The anchors, whose comedic gags have helped improve the show's ratings in recent years, admitted to their guest that they had not seen the musical and went on to show off their own 'rapping' abilities.
Despite their antics, the well-spoken and classy star managed to not be thrown by any of the odd lines of questioning throughout the awkward interview and bizarre attempts at 'gotcha' questions. Watch the video.
Following the appearance, Jackson took to his Facebook page to share his thoughts on his discomfort during the appearance, posting:
Can't remember a time where I found myself having to try so hard to NOT be embarrassed for someone as I was this morning. What some people fail to realize...when you try to take the piss at something you know NOTHING about, you risk making yourself look incredibly small, petty, and uniformed.
I KNOW what I do. Will ALWAYS comport myself and act in an honorable way, especially when I'm talking about my art/work. I've never been a bafoon in MY work.

He later posted on Twitter: Yep folks....that's life in the damn circus.... #notsurprised #speechless
A FOX representative has responded to Jackson's comments, offering: "Our circus is No. 1. Lighten up."
