FIX NUMBER SIX Opens 5/29 as Part of the Planet Connections Festival

The world premiere of Fix Number Six, a comedy by Jerry Polner, will be presented beginning May 29, opening day of the 5th annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, New York's premier eco-friendly theatre festival. Directed by Michael Criscuolo and featuring actors praised by the New York Times, Backstage, TimeoutNY, and nytheatre.com, Fix Number Six tells of Jane, a travel agent whose career is going nowhere. Hounded by an idiot boss, she dreams of pursuing her true calling as an international spy. When her rich, lovesick customer wants to hire Jane to "fix" his life with whatever tawdry subterfuge is necessary, she jumps at the chance.

Fix Number Six will be performed Wednesday May 29 at 7 PM, Thursday May 30 at 4 PM, Monday June 3 at 9 PM, Tuesday June 11 at 7 PM, Thursday June 13 at 4:30 PM and Saturday June 15 at 12:30 PM at the Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, Manhattan (between Lafayette Street and the Bowery - F,M,B,D subway to Broadway/Lafayette Street or #6 local to Bleecker Street) Tickets are $18.00. Each of Planet Connections Festivity's more than 40 productions will be soliciting donations for a chosen community or environmental cause. For Fix Number Six, the recipient will be the Blue Green Alliance, which unites 14 of the country's largest unions and environmental organizations to build a cleaner, fairer and more competitive American economy.

The cast of Fix Number Six is Arthur Aulisi*, Colin Chapin*, Adam Lebowitz-Lockard, Victoria Anne Miller, Mateo Moreno, Alyssa Simon* and Moira Stone*. Costumes are by Candace Lawrence, lighting design is by Kia Rogers, sound design is by Janie Bullard, and set design is by Robert Bursztyn. The stage manager is Danielle Thomsen*.

Jerry Polner's Gone With the Masha at the Brecht Forum, part of the Brooklyn Playwrights Collective Chekhov-themed festival, was noted by L Magazine as its highlight, and by nytheatre.com for its "zaniness, which the cast knocked out of the park." His comedy pieces have been published on McSweeney's and PoliticalSubversities. Other plays, including History Ends Here, Florence Farewell and Sauté Your Face (a cooking show for deposed dictators) have been produced at Manhattan Theatre Source, the Workshop Theater Company and Galapagos Artspace. Michael Criscuolo (Director) has staged such productions as Release by Melissa Gawlowski at the Samuel French Short Play Festival, Tsipras of Athens by Eric Bland, Occupy Poofy by Alexis Sottile at the Brick Theater, Florence Farewell by Jerry Polner at Manhattan Theatre Source, Anthony P. Pennino's Extracts from Adam's Diary at Metropolitan Playhouse, and Parts Unknown by Ron Fitzgerald at Chashama. He was honored as one of nytheatre.com's 2008 People of the Year.

Moira Stone* (Jane)'s performances have earned such reviews as "What sticks with you is Moira Stone - movingly fragile " and "Charming and precise (Jason Zinoman, New York Times)"; "Special mention in a terrific cast belongs to Moira Stone - great dimension" and "Genuine emotion and promising talent (Backstage)"; "Belts her way beautifully through (TimeOutNY )" for Greed: A Musical Love Story; and "Absolutely masterful (nytheatre.com)" She has acted at The Brick Theater, the NY Fringe, and other theaters all over New York City.

Arthur Aulisi* (Howard), whom Backstage cited for his work in Taming of the Show at the Roundtable Ensemble, is an original member of the Adobe Theatre Company, has collaborated on, developed and premiered hundreds of new plays and was selected by nytheatre.com as a Person of the Year for his contribution to independent theater. He has performed with Ensemble Studio Theater, at Soho Rep, The Theatre Project and many other companies.

Colin Chapin* (Dirk) is currently featured as Gilbert in the web series "Math Warriors." Other credits include film appearances such as "White Noise" with Michael Keaton and "When A Man Falls" with Timothy Hutton, and stage roles at the NY Fringe and the Producers Club.

Adam Lebowitz-Lockard (Fred) has performed Off-Broadway at Primary Stages in #OMPF, regionally at the American Repertory Theater, the McCarter Theater, and the Williamstown Theater Festival, and can be seen online in several sketches on funnyordie.com.

Victoria Anne Miller (Fiona) was featured at The Brick Theater in Bunny Lake Is Missing, Votes for Women and Beach Blanket Bluebeard, and in Decompression at the NY Fringe.

Mateo Moreno (Ricky). Recent credits include Hamlet, The Rocky Horror Show and Vaclav Havel's Hunt for A Pig. As a playwright, his Happily After Tonight was recently presented at the Barrow Group.

Alyssa Simon* (Tessie) was selected as a nytheatre.com Person Of the Year, and has acted with many NYC venues including The Brick and Rabbit Hold companies. She is also Master Mason with the Brick Theater.
