The upcoming FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Broadway Cast Album will feature an additional bonus track from co-stars Adam Kantor and Alexandra Silber!

Adam Kantor (Motel) and Alexandra Silber (Tzeitel) have recorded the song called "Dear Sweet Sewing Machine" which will be the first time this song will be on an official FIDDLER ON THE ROOF cast album. The song was written originally for FIDDLER ON THE ROOF by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, but was ultimately cut from the show after its first few previews out of town in Detroit. Sheldon Harnick gave his enthusiastic approval when the opportunity arose to record it, as it remains a favorite song of his. New orchestrations for the song were written by Oran Eldor (who wrote Dance Arrangements on this production) and played by Ted Sperling and the FIDDLER ON THE ROOF orchestra.

This is the second bonus track announced for the upcoming cast album. There will also be a bonus track from ITZHAK PERLMAN, the reigning virtuoso of the violin, who recorded a special track of "Excerpts from FIDDLER ON THE ROOF - Variations and Cadenza by John Williams featuring Itzhak Perlman."

The New Broadway Cast Album of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF will be released by Broadway Records worldwide on March 18th, with availability to purchase at The Broadway Theatre beginning March 8th. The recording is currently available for pre-order at The Broadway Theatre, on Amazon.com and on the label's website, www.broadwayrecords.com. The album is produced by David Lai, Ted Sperling and Louise Gund.
