Mind The Art Entertainment - the award-winning company behind DIE: ROLL TO PROCEED, THE TIMING OF THE DAY, and STORY TIME WITH MR. BUTTERMEN - has announced the selection of their hit, spoken word musical, FATTY FATTY NO FRIENDS, as a participant in the 2014 New York International Fringe Festival's Encore Series, playing at The SoHo Playhouse, today, September 10th -18th, 2014.

FATTY FATTY NO FRIENDS tells the story of Tommy, an overweight kid struggling to get through that most wretched time of life: childhood. Days, weeks, and years of teasing from his schoolmates have taken their toll on the mild-mannered boy, yet still he tries to continue on as best he can. But when the people he thought were his friends join in with the others, will he be able to forgive them...or will he snap?

This dark operetta premiered August 15th, 2014 at the Flamboyán at The Clemente, as part of the New York International Fringe Festival where it played to sold-out audiences and received rave reviews for the duration of its run. The cast includes Jason Sofge, Isaac Harold, Jessica Rose Futran, Emily Brewster, Mallory Campbell, Malcolm Jenkins Yancey, Mia Moretti Thomas, Vinnie Urdea, Caroline Wilson, Kelsey Flynn, Taylor Lane Ross, Aaron Butler, Jeffrey Hodes, Mattie Kaiser, and Darcie Kozlowski.

This award winning production was conceived and directed by Mind The Art Entertainment's Artistic Director Christian De Gré with Associate Director R. Patrick Alberty and features Musical Direction by Aaron Butler. FATTY FATTY NO FRIENDS features original music & orchestrations by De Gré, lyrics by Joseph Reese Anderson and is based upon the original story by author Serrana Gay. The show features aesthetic and costume designs (FringeNYC Overall Excellence in Design) by Ashley Soliman, make-up design by Kate Marley and lighting design by Nik Robalino. Produced by De Gré, Alberty, Paganetti & Gay.
