Iconic Tony Award-winning original star of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg's celebrated Vietnam-set musical Miss Saigon, Lea Salonga, joined with fellow Tony- and Olivier Award-winning co-star Jonathan Pryce live onstage for MISS SAIGON's 25th anniversary this week.

The 25th anniversary celebration for Miss Saigon occurred September 22 at the Prince Edward Theatre in London's West End. Additionally, the performance was recorded live and will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on October 3 along with video clips posted on the official site.

The official description of the 25th anniversary broadcast of MISS SAIGON is as follows: "To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Miss Saigon, a sell-out Gala performance took place at the Prince Edward Theatre, London. Featuring the cast of the new production, and the original company, including Jonathan Pryce, Lea Salonga and Simon Bowman. This was an event like no other and you can listen to this performance in full on BBC Radio 2 from 8pm Friday 3rd October. Video footage of the finale will be available to watch on the BBC Radio website following the radio broadcast."

The official description of the West End revival of Miss Saigon is as follows: "Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production has made its highly anticipated return to the West End, and is breaking box office records. Since Miss Saigon's sensational record-breaking run at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane 25 years ago it has played in 300 cities in 15 different languages, winning awards around the world. This epic musical love story tells the tragic tale of young bar girl Kim, orphaned by war, who falls in love with an American GI called Chris - but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon."
