Excerpts, eight new short plays by members of the Village Playwrights, a group of writers who meet the Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transsexual Center, examines the new pressures of this new millennium.  The production will be presented in the Lerner Auditorium at the LGBT Center (208 W. 13th Street) New York City at 8 PM on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31.

"Kevin Berry's Searching tells the story of two men who search the field of a large farm for the body of a gay murder victim and the meaning behind his death.  Exposed, also by Berry, is about a husband who confronts his wife after he is exposed publicly in an affair," state press notes.

"In Lawrence F. Schwabacher short piece Baby Purple, a friendship is tested to the limit.  The play forces us to ask the question:  How far will someone go to keep a friend? Schwabacher's second piece Citrine Moon looks at whether two lesbians at the opposite end of the spectrum can find love.

George Bistransin's Marriage - The Gay Way is a farce, with an homage to Roman comedy, that asks if Gays really want to enter the institution...of marriage that is.

Vincent Caruso's Sugar Bait is an off the wall comedy about two lonely people searching for a sense of belonging and attention who meet up in a support group for sugar addicts.

Emanuel Gavales short piece I Know You tells what happens when two former roommates, one eager and one not, meet.  Masterpiece, also by Gavales, weighs the desire to create with desire.

Tickets are $15.  Tickets for Students, Seniors and LGBT Center Members are $10.  For reservations or information, call 718-381-1487 or e-mail Ludicrum@yahoo.com
