Elena Roger, currently starring in the title role of Evita at the Adelphi Theatre until 26 May, when the productions closes, is going straight from that show into the cast of Boeing-Boeing on 29 May.

It has been confirmed that Roger will be replacing Daisy Beaumont in the role of Italian stewardess Gabriella, one of the three fiancées that leading lothario Bernard juggles in the play. Also joining the cast with her on that day are Doon Mackichan, Adrian Dunbar and Neil Stuke.

Roger made her British stage debut in the title role of Evita at the Adelphi Theatre last year. Her performance earned her an Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. She has previously appeared in her native Buenos Aires in the original production of Nine, directed by David Leveaux, as well as Beauty and the Beast. She was Fantine in Les Misérables and Annette in Saturday Night Fever. Her other work includes Fiddler on the Roof, Houdini and La Fiaca. In 2003, along with director Valeria Ambrosio, she devised the multi award-winning Mina, che cosa sei in which she also starred. Her Argentinean television work includes Hombres de Honor and Pensionados and the comedy programme El Sodero de mi Vida

Boeing-Boeing continues to fly high in the West End after its opening in early this year.  Also featuring Patricia Hodge, Roger Allam, Mark Rylance, and Michelle Gomez, among others, the show plays the Comedy Theatre.

Performances of Boeing-Boeing are Monday – Saturday at 7:30pm, with Saturday matinees at 3:00pm until June 23 and Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2:30pm from June 28. There is also an assisted performance Tuesday, May 22, at 7:30pm, captioned by Stagetext. The Comedy Theatre is at Panton Street, London SW1Y 4DN, and tickets are £15 - £45.00, plus concessions.
