Lee Evans and Jason Isaacs will headline a London revival of Harold Pinter's 1960 short play The Dumb Waiter.
Directed by Harry Burton, the production will begin previews on February 2nd and open on February 8th. It will run through March 24th.
The play, by the Nobel Prize-winning author of Betrayal, The Homecoming, The Birthday Party and more, concerns two hitmen. Awaiting instructions in the basement of a deserted rooming house, the two men are soon menaced by mysterious phenomena originating upstairs. Evans will play Gus and Isaacs will appear as Ben.
A 1987 film version of the piece, directed by Robert Altman, starred John Travolta and Tom Conti.
Evans has been seen in London in The Producers (opposite Nathan Lane) and Endgame (opposite Michael Gambon). Screen credits include The Fifth Element and There's Something About Mary.
Isaacs is known to screen audiences for his work as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, as well as such films as Friends with Money, Nine Lives and Black Hawk Down. Angels in America and Force of Change are among London stage credits.
