On October 6th at 7 PM, Tony Award-winner Donna McKechnie will appear, as previously announced, at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle (1972 Broadway at 66th St.) for a book signing of Time Steps: My Musical Comedy Life, her recently released autobiography.

Joining the star will be Kurt Peterson, Harvey Evans (both of Follies), Pamela Myers (Company) and Priscilla Lopez (A Chorus Line), who will sing songs from the shows with which they are associated.  McKechnie, of course, won a Tony for creating the role of Cassie in A Chorus Line.  The Broadway revival of that musical will open a day before the reading.

Peterson, Evans, Myers and Lopez previously appeared at the book release party for Time Steps at the National Arts Club.

The A Chorus Line legend is already comfortable with relating her life story, having first performed her one-woman show Inside the Music in 1998. In that show, she performed songs from the musicals in which she has been featured, and shared anecdotes about her legendary career as well as the stars she has worked with.

McKechnie won a Tony Award for her iconic performance as Cassie in A Chorus Line, and has also appeared on Broadway in State Fair, Company (both the original and Roundabout revival), On The Town, Promises, Promises, and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, in which she made her Broadway debut. Her regional credits include playing Sally in Follies at the Paper Mill Playhouse and Carlotta in the same show for the Barrington Stage Company. Acclaimed for her vocal and acting talents as well as for her virtuoso dancing skills, McKechnie was also married to legendary director/choreographer Michael Bennett for a time.

The book, which was co-written with Greg Lawrence and was released on September 6th, is dedicated to McKechnie's sister Barbara,
her brother Ron and to the memory of Carolyn Ruth and Donald Bruce McKechnie, her parents. Time Steps, published by Simon & Schuster, is 304 pages in hardback.

The book is currently available on www.amazon.com, www.barnesandnoble.com, and through other retailers.
