Estée Lauder and Bumble and bumble are taking over each other's Instagram feeds! Sounds crazy enough to work, right?

The brands are both owned by the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc., and will spend next week, May 12 to May 16, in charge of each other's Instagram accounts. They will create hair and beauty content staying within five themes and both companies will use the hashtag #TipsandTresses. The hashtag will be used to engage their collective followers and hold user-generated contests throughout the week.

The themes are as follows: May 12 is Beachy & Bronzed; May 13 is Undone Done; May 14 is Adore the Contour; May 15 is Day to Night, and Friday is Weekend Update.

About Estée Lauder:

Estée Lauder founded this company in 1946 armed with four products and an unshakeable belief: that every woman can be beautiful. Today, more than 60 years later, that simple notion has literally changed the face of the beauty business.

Mrs. Lauder's leadership inspired thousands of people. She received scores of honors, including the United States' Presidential Medal of Freedom and France's Legion of Honor. However, Mrs. Lauder was happiest advising women during her in-store appearances. One of her favorite quotes was "Telephone, Telegraph, Tell-A-Woman," because she knew that once a woman tried an Estée Lauder product, she would love it and share it with her friends.

About Bumble and Bumble:

Bumble and bumble began as a NYC salon in 1977 where they clipped, colored and styled their way into prominence with a legendary editorial team, a strong design ethic and extraordinary products, and to this day remains deeply, passionately and fearlessly dedicated to the craft of hairdressing.
