Tony-nominee Melissa Errico has lined up two upcoming concert appearances.
She will be one of several guest artists on Sunday, June 4th at Joe's Pub; Errico will join
Sweeney Todd's
Manoel Felciano for his 7 PM concert. She will sing Randy Newman material with the six-piece band. The concert will mark her first performance since the birth of her daughter Victoria Penny McEnroe 5 weeks ago.
Errico will appear at Birdland on Monday, June 12th at 7pm with
Jason Robert Brown (
Parade, Songs for a New World, the upcoming
13); she will sing songs such as "I Will Follow" and "Christmas Lullabye." Errico and Brown are longtime buddies; their friendship began as teenagers when a 14 year-old Errico played Eva in a summer camp production of
Evita, in which Brown appeared as Che.
Other previously-announced upcoming appearances include the Hollywood Bowl concert production of
The Sound of Music, in which she will play Maria, from July 28th through 30th, and
The Gershwins in Hollywood: Golden Musicals from the Silver Screen on August 20th at Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY.
Tony-nominated for her work in Amour, Errico has been seen on Broadway in Dracula The Musical, High Society, My Fair Lady, and Anna Karenina. Off-Broadway credits include Aunt Dan and Lemon and Finian's Rainbow, while she has also been seen at Encores! in One Touch of Venus and at the Kennedy Center in Sunday in the Park with George.
