Eric Sirota's Frankenstein-Inspired Musical DAY OF WRATH Comes to NYMF Tonight

"Day of Wrath" a new musical by Eric B. Sirota, based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, will be presented this coming tonight and Monday (July 18 & 20), as an Official Selection of the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival's Reading Series. "Day of Wrath", with a sweeping romantic score, is about the human need for love and companionship. (www.DayOfWrathMusical.com)

It will be directed by Katharine Pettit, with musical direction by Mila Henry, and Daniel Ricken as stage manager. The cast will be Carl Hulden (Creature), Brian C. Veith (Victor Frankenstein), Raquel Tillo (Elizabeth Lavenza), Paul Chamberlain (Alphonse Frankenstein) and Sam Rohloff (Henry Clerval).

The emerging composer/playwright Eric Sirota, is also an established and highly published research scientist, and fellow of the American Physical Society. In the last few years his musical theatre works have begun to draw attention in the New York theatre community. Another musical with book, music and lyrics by Sirota, "Your Name On My Lips", an original love story, has had multiple staged readings, and is now looking forward to its first production in September at the Theater for the New City (www.YourNameOnMyLips.com).
