The opening of the world premiere of John Epperson's (aka Lypsinka) My Deah will take place a day earlier than was originally announced.

Presented by the Abingdon Theatre Company, the comedy will now open on October 24th.

/>Mark Waldrop (/>Bea Arthur: Just Between Friends) directs the play, which stars  Caulfield (Tryst, An Inspector Calls, the film Grease 2) and />Nancy Opel (Urinetown, Fiddler on the Roof), as well as Peter Brouwer, Lori Gardner, Michael Hunsaker, Geoffrey Molloy, Jay Rogers, and Kevin Townley.

The show is, according to press notes, a "Southern-fried version of Euripides' Medea" that promises "more blood, more laughs, and more violence, all in the name of comedy. When My Deah Hedgepeth confronts her husband Gator, her friends, the Governor of Mississippi—and carries out her plans for revenge—y'all just might die laughin'!"

/>John Epperson's film credits include Witch Hunt, Wigstock: The Movie, Angels in America, and Kinsey. His stage credits include I Could Go On Lip-Synching!, Now It Can Be Lip-Synched, Lypsinka! A Day In The Life, As I Lay Lip-Synching, and Lypsinka Must Be Destroyed!

The show will feature sets and lighting by Mark Simpson, costumes by Ramona Ponce and sound by Matt Berman.

The show plays Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 PM; with matinees Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 3PM.  Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by calling 212-868-4444 or online at Smarttix.com. Abingdon Theatre Company is located at 312 West 36th Street.  Visit www.lypsinksa.com for more on Epperson and Lypsinka.
