Epic Theatre Center will hold their 6th Anniversary Gala on Monday December 4th at Candela Restaurant (116 East 16th Street). Emily Bickford Lansbury (Epic's First Board Member) and Nilaja Sun (Epic's First Associate Artist) will be honored at this annual event.
Sun is the author and star of the Off-Broadway play, No Child, which Epic commissioned and premiered on Theatre Row in the Spring of 2006. As a literary scout and producer, Lansbury currently has over twenty projects in development including the National Book Award-winning novel The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer and Feed by M.T. Anderson.
The evening will begin with a Silent Auction & Cocktails at 6:30 p.m. with dinner and a two musical sets, provided by the upstate MotherLode Trio and acclaimed singer Phoebe Snow, beginning at 7:15.
