In a newly announced concert, Ensemble ACJW performs an original program entitledFrom Dusk til Dawn: A Musical Journey from Darkness to Light at Galapagos Art Space onMonday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. For their debut performance at the Brooklyn venue, the musicians have put together an imaginative program with several of their original compositions and new arrangements in addition to works and excerpts by Chopin, Ravel, Schoenberg, Messiaen, George Crumb, Herbie Hancock, and more. The program is a musical journey from darkness to light, with repertoire selected to represent dusk, midnight, and dawn-sometimes explicitly and other times more abstractly. See below for complete program details.
