New York City will be the setting for this inaugural event and is scheduled to take place on September 20, 2014 at Empire Steak House NY, located on W. 54th St. between Eighth Avenue and Broadway. Angel Light Pictures in association with Dream Destinations presents, 'The Apprenticeship of Ted Kotcheff' Film-Fundraiser Event, September 20, 2014: featuring special appearance from director, Ted Kotcheff, known for popular films, such as Joshua Then and Now, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, Fun with Dick and Jane, North Dallas Forty, First Blood, Uncommon Valor, Weekend at Bernie's, and many others. As Kotcheff's success expanded into television, directing an executive producing 284 episodes of the most successful drama franchises in TV history, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

"The Apprenticeship of Ted Kotcheff," about the life and career of Canadian director Ted Kotcheff. Academy Award Winner Richard Dreyfuss is narrating.

"The Apprenticeship of Ted Kotcheff"- Directed and Produced by Antonio Saillant will host the event. With surprise special appearances of collaborators who have been inspired by Kotcheff.

Over the years, Antonio Saillant worked on other high level filmmaker's projects, learning the nuts and bolts of production, and worked as a producer. He spent several years shadowing his mentor, Ted Kotcheff [executive producer] and learning from him, not to mention, learning in a highly popular television drama series, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Saillant gained knowledge and education into how the industry really works at the studio level, from the inside out.

Kotcheff has inspired many people through his devotion to both, work and family, his endless generosity, his kindness and his dedication. He has enlightened us with his creativity in film and television that has earned him the respect of peers and viewers.

The Apprenticeship of Ted Kotcheff documentary welcomes, Tony Timpone as producer, Canadian writer Gerald Wexler, film composers, William Goldstein and Thomas Kotcheff (Kotcheff's son) and Emmy Award Winning Composer Michael Rafter. Michael Rafter is an Arranger, Musical Director, Musical Supervisor, Conductor, and Musician best known for his work on Broadway and collaborations with Sutton Foster. He Is currently the Musical Director of the new Broadway production of Violet, which has been nominated for best musical revival.

The proceeds of the event will support the documentary film, The Apprenticeship of Ted Kotcheff.
