Emerging Artists Theatre (EAT) is now accepting submissions for their New Works Series (NWS) which showcases solo shows, dance/movement pieces, two person plays and musicals. There is no fee to apply and no cost to participate in the festival. The festival runs February 29th - March 20th, 2015 at the TADA! Theatre, in New York City.

The NWS is a three-week developmental festival that provides artists of different disciplines the opportunity to present one night of a "work in progress" with audience feedback. Successful Fringe, NYMF, and Off-Broadway shows have been born out of this festival, and Emerging Artists Theatre is excited to present a new round of opportunity to local artists. With the NWS, EAT makes it simple and safe for artists to take risks and explore, supplying all the basic production elements needed to support a new work in development - a stage, a small crew, box office and lobby staff, minimal sets and lights.

Currently Seeking:

• Original solo shows
• Original musicals
• Two person plays
• New dance/movement pieces

For application and submission information, go to www.newworkseries.com.

Submission deadline: Midnight - Tuesday, December 15th, 2015.

Emerging Artists Theatre acts as an incubator for new voices from the page to the stage. EAT was founded 23 years ago to provide a dynamic home where playwrights and artists explore their work from their imagination and guide it through development towards full artistic realization. It is a process that involves audience interaction with the artists and enables the artists to be the key ingredient in the development of their work. EAT is proud to have given that opportunity to over 3000 artists since its inception.
