In addition to an already incredibly diverse line-up of music, dance, live theatre, family programming and more, the Emelin Theatre is proud to announce several additional events and performances coming this Spring.

Tania and her teenage son are Russian immigrants who are in Belgium illegally, in constant fear of being found out. One day, on a routine police check, Tania is apprehended -- but she refuses to accept the fact that she'll be deported and separated from her son. Winner of Best Director at the 26th Warsaw Film Festival, official 2010 LUX Film Prize Selection, Winner of SACD Prize at the 42 Directors' Fortnight.

Jackie Mason will introduce the film and there will be a Q&A with the director following the screening.
Modeled after the stage and screen production Twelve Angry Men, the film One Angry Man is the courtroom dram-edy starring Jackie Mason as himself. A teenager is on trial for murder and it falls on a jury made up of a very colorful cast of characters to decide his fate, with Jackie causing chaos every step of the way!

The Dana Fuchs Band | $35

The Dana Fuchs Band's soulful music hearkens back to the golden age of singer-songwriters and classic rock bands, drawing influences from a wide musical base including Lucinda Williams, Etta James, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, Otis Redding and The Rolling Stones. The NYC-based band is led by Dana Fuchs' (Across the Universe, Off-Broadway's Love, Janis) signature vocal style that The Village Voice described as "a voice that is sultry and astonishingly boundless."

Bobcat Goldthwait | $40

Bobcat Goldthwait's high-pitched voice, loud outbursts and pyrotechnic tendencies made him a legend of stand up comedy. He has directed for many television shows including Jimmy Kimmel Live, Chappelle's Show, the Man Show, and Crank Yankers, and starred in movies such as Shakes the Clown, Windy City Heat, the Police Academy series and many more.

Much Ado About Nothing | $25

Part of the Insights & Revelations Performance series
Shakespeare on the Sound Artistic Director Joanna Settle leads an open rehearsal of the company's upcoming summer production, Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing with new music by Stew and Heidi Rodewald. Settle's interpretations of the classics have garnered the local company national attention. This event will feature a post-show Q&A and reception with the artists.
