Will Friedwald, Wall Street Journal Jazz critic and music columnist and author -- his books include "Sinatra! The Song Is You," "Jazz Singing" and "Stardust Melodies" -- will discuss his new, monumental new book, a highly opinionated "Biographical Guide to the Great Jazz and Pop Singers" (of the 20th Century) as part of A TRIBUTE TO THE GREAT Joe MoonEY!

Many of the tunes you know and love, as recorded by Joe Mooney and featured in Will's book, will capture Joe's unique phrasing as mentored to the likes of Sinatra and Tony Bennett. two of his greatest fans. Musicologist DAN MORGENSTERN will offer remarks.

Thrushes and canaries who will be musically illustratIng Will's talk alphabetically include Quinn Lemley, Pamela Luss, Karen Oberlin, KT Sullivan and, no canary he, international favorite Allan Harris.
Music under the direction of jazz genius pianist Tedd Firth will include another international star, "IRIS" on bass, geniuses Dan LevinSON on clarinet, EDDIE MONTEIRO on accordian and prodigy (and genius, too) Aaron Weinstein on violin.

Double Dip:
After the program, all are invited to a Dutch Treat Reception meet across the street at the Mont Blanc Restaurant. (Artists are guests of the producer.)
