Elliot Mason and Cre8tion Announce CD Release Show For Before, Now & After at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola

On January 23rd and 24th, Elliot Mason is celebrating the release of his solo debut album Before, Now & After with his band Cre8tion at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola.

Elliot has been described as "He's unbelievable as a trombonist, there's unworldly facility, virtuosity and clarity in his playing, he can sing a melody out from the trombone; it's like a human voice the way he plays it" - Wynton Marsalis

Before, Now & After: As the title suggests, the record reflects on Mason's most important musical influences, while adding a fresh vision and 21st century insight to them. This takes shape in several ways; in addition to brand new compositions "embodying emotions from favorite recordings," he also explores specific compositions by John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, McCoy Tyner, Lee Morgan, Antonio Carlos Jobim.

The album, besides the band (Elliot Mason, Sofija Knezevic, Dan Nimmer, Carlos Henriquez & Ali Jackson) is graced by a few of very special guests: Joe Lovano, Tim Hagans, Cyro Baptista and Brad Mason.
