According to IMDB News, Zac Efron is looking to land a cameo appearance in GLEE and would love to be a part of the award winning series.

Efron first showed his vocal and dancing skills in Disney's "High School Musical" and later played Link Larkin in the movie-musical HAIRSPRAY. Recently, he has been seen starring in films like "Me and Orson Welles" and "Charlie St. Cloud."

According to the article, Efron told Britain's Live from Studio Five, "They haven't asked me yet... I think it'd be really fun. They're doing a great job of the show. Yeah, absolutely (I'd love a role)."
Efron is set to star in the upcoming film "The Lucky One," based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks.

GLEE follows an optimistic teacher who - against all odds and a malicious cheerleading coach - inspires McKinley High's Glee Club to conquer the world one singing competition at a time. GLEE stars Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Jenna Ushkowitz.

GLEE is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are co-creators of the series. Murphy, Falchuk and Dante di Loreto serve as executive producers, while Ian Brennan serves as co-executive producer.

GLEE season 2 premieres on FOX on September 21.
