The T. Schreiber Studio for Theatre & Film, one of the country's foremost professional actor training and performance programs, will celebrate its 46th Anniversary Gala on Sunday April 26, 2015. The event will honor Academy Award-nominee and T. Schreiber alumnus, Edward Norton, recently seen in the Oscar-winning films "Birdman" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel." The evening will also pay tribute to alumni Jonny Orsini (Fish In The Dark) and Julie Halston (You Can't Take It With You), who will serve as mistress of ceremonies. Mary-Louise Parker and Roma Torre are this year's Honorary Chairs. Tickets for individual seating ($450-$750) can be purchased by visiting http://tschreiber.org/2015-spring-soiree/
The evening will benefit T. Schreiber's professional training program and mission to bring actors and audiences together to experience the gift of live theatre at affordable prices. It will feature entertainment, a three-course dinner, cocktails, a silent auction and more.
"When you're 21 and arriving in New York, it's enormously challenging at best, intimidating at worst. So for me, the T. Schreiber Studio proved to be an enormous blessing. Terry created a real school, where many different teachers teach many different skills," Edward Norton said on his experiences. "The first plays, and still some of the best that I ever did in New York were at the Schreiber Studio. I still - daily, in my work -use things that I learned from him and others at the studio. I'm very, very grateful to Terry and the institution of the Schreiber Studio."
"I am so proud to have provided a home for the past 46 years to actors, many of whom have gone on to successful careers in theatre, film and television. And we are more than honored to have played a part in their creative journey," Terry Schreiber said. "We all know the tremendous success that Edward has achieved not only professionally but personally and I look forward to honoring his work with our 2015 Outstanding Achievement Award.
