A Massachusetts concert celebrating the music of Leonard Bernstein will include Tony Award-winner Christine Ebersole and Tony Award-nominee Matthew Morrison.
The concert will take place on July 12th at 8:30 PM at Tanglewood's Koussevitzky Music Shed in Lenox, MA. In addition to Ebersole (Grey Gardens, 42nd Street) and Morrison (The Light in the Piazza), it will feature Kurt Ollman, once a protégé of Bernstein's, as well as fellows from the Tanglewood Music Center.
Featuring the Boston Pops, conducted by Keith Lockhart, with a script by David Cole, direction by Gary Griffin and musical direction by David Krane, the Bernstein concert will include songs from On the Town, Wonderful Town, West Side Story, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and Candide. Ebersole is set to perform classic numbers such as "I Can Cook Too," "Conga" and "Duet for One."
