Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Presents the New York premiere of Robin Rice's Everyday Edna Mae June 15 at 7:30pm, June 20 at 8:45pm, and June 22 at 9:30pm. All performances are at the Flamboyan Theatre located inside the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, 107 Suffolk Street, New York City.

Edna Mae struggles to realize her dream despite an imaginary friend who won't go away, a smothering Midwest town, and a controlling husband. She finally finds herself in San Diego and the world begins to open. A hilarious and heartbreaking meditation on the expectations society places on women, the creative process and struggle to make art, friendship, love and letting go.

Everyday Edna Mae features Amy Lee Pearsall (2013 inductee into the indie theatre hall of fame) as Edna Mae, Jennylind Parris (A Woman of Character: A Tribute to the Incomparable Carol Burnett) as Patty, Annie McGovern (Off-Broadway: Constellations, Golden Ladder, Six Goumbas and a Wannabe) as Sally, Jenny Vallancourt as Koko, and Tucker Dally Johnson as Mrs. Flagg. The show is directed by Kenny Wade Marshall (Playhouse Creatures Theatre's Love Song, Fools & Kings Comedy of Errors and Much Ado About Nothing) with scenic elements and practical lighting design by Justin Dodd. Stage manager for the production is Derek Bado.

Robin Rice is the author of over 70 plays, produced worldwide. Recently her play Alice in Black and White played to great acclaim Off-Broadway at 59E59.

An earlier version of Everyday Edna Mae appeared in the New York Frigid Festival.

Proceeds from Everyday Edna Mae benefit the charity Women In Need. Planet Connections Theatre Festivity is New York City's premiere socially conscious arts festival.
