ETHEL SINGS Talkback with Robert Meeropol Set for 6/29 at Walker Space

As part of the WORLD PREMIERE of Joan Beber's ETHEL SINGS: Espionage in High C, there will be a special talkback with Robert Meeropol, the son of Julius & Ethel Rosenberg, on Saturday, June 29th immediately following the 8pm performance. ETHEL SINGS opens Friday, June 27th at Walker Space & is directed by Jules Aaron & produced by Linda Toliver & Gary Guidinger for Undercover Productions.

In commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Rosenbergs' execution, ETHEL SINGS: Espionage in High C is a fact-based story that offers an imaginative take on the case that shocked the world. In 1951, Ethel & Julius Rosenberg were found guilty of espionage. Although evidence has shown that Ethel had little to do with passing atomic secrets to the Soviets, she was executed with him two years later, at Sing Sing Prison, in upstate New York, on June 19, 1953, one day after their wedding anniversary.

ROBERT MEEROPOL is the younger son of Ethel & Julius Rosenberg & founder & Executive Director of the Rosenberg Fund for Children. He is an activist, attorney, writer & public speaker. Through the RFC, Robert has assisted hundreds of children whose parents also have been attacked for their social activism. He is also the author of AN EXECUTION IN THE FAMILY: One Son's Journey. This political memoir chronicles his journey from childhood victim of McCarthy-era repression; to 1960's militant activist; to politically engaged parent & law student; to founder & leader of the RFC.
