On Tuesday, December 7, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will hold its 87th annual Christmas Tree lighting on Broad Street between Wall Street and Exchange Place from 5 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. ET. This year's tree lighting ceremony, emceed by WCBS-TV New York news anchor Dana Tyler, will feature performances by cast members of Broadway's ELF and a visit from Santa Claus.

To kick off the festivities, Ms. Tyler and the stars of ELF -- Sebastian Arcelus (aka Buddy), Amy Spanger (aka Jovie), Matthew Gumley (aka Michael) and Tony® Award winner Beth Leavel (aka Emily) -- will ring the NYSE Closing Bell at 4 p.m. followed by performances by the cast on Broad Street at 5 p.m. and the illumination of the Christmas Tree at 5:15 p.m.

About the NYSE Holiday Tree:
This year's tree, a 60' high, 45'wide Norway Spruce, hails from Rockland County, N.Y. Situated in front of the NYSE façade, the tree is adorned with 3,300 white LED lights, 250 multi-colored balls with the NYSE Euronext logo and a 6' star on top, all supported on an 8' x 10' base fashioned as a gold box.

The NYSE Christmas Tree has been a Downtown New York tradition since 1923. Over the years, the NYSE tree lighting ceremonies have grown to include participation by world-class celebrities and musicians as well as listed companies. The NYSE tree lighting ceremony is one of the oldest in New York City and the NYSE Christmas Tree is one of the most visited attractions during the holidays.

About ELF:
ELF is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Buddy is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and his step-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner ELF.

Live Webcast of Tree Lighting Ceremony:
A live webcast (4:55 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. ET) of the tree lighting ceremony will be available at www.nyse.com.
