The Awesome 80s Prom, now in its 8th year at the famed club Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street), will welcome back Dustin Diamond, best known as Screech from the hit TV series "Saved by the Bell," to star in the November 5th performance. Dustin Diamond is returning to the Prom after his successful run in the show during the Spring and Summer of 2010.

Dustin Diamond is best known for starring in the memorable role of Samuel "Screech" Powers in the television show "Saved by the Bell," continuing the role in the college spin-off series, "Saved by the Bell: The College Years." He has also appeared in films including Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. Dustin has also performed stand-up comedy for several years and wrote the book, Behind the Bell.

While New York audiences continue to party like it's 1989, The Awesome 80s Prom, the Off-Broadway phenomenon, has also enjoyed runs in Boston, Minneapolis, Baltimore, and Chicago as well as Korea. Over the last eight years, over 80,000 wine coolers were served, over 160,000 packs of pop rocks were consumed and over 330,000 attempts at "The Worm" were tried by folks attending The Awesome 80s Prom. And, The Awesome 80s Prom is now available for licensing through Samuel French. It has already been performed at regional theaters and high schools across the country.

The Awesome 80s Prom is the acclaimed interactive experience in the style of Tony n' Tina's Wedding set at the Wanaget High's Senior Prom...in 1989! All your favorite characters from your favorite '80s movies are at The Prom, from the Captain of the Football Team to the Asian Exchange Student, from the Geek to the Hottie Head Cheerleader, and they're all competing for Prom King and Queen. And just like on "American Idol," the audience decides who wins, all while moonwalkin' to great retro hits. Come "Back in Time," and join the break-dance circle or just sit back and watch the '80s drama unfold. If you're lucky, you'll even get to dance with The Captain of the Football Team. And this time, you don't have a curfew!

THE AWESOME 80S PROM continues to perform Saturday evenings at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street). The Prom starts at 8 PM; although there's dancing and Duran Duran from 7:30 PM.
