The two time INNY nominated musical improv group Dumpster Tequila will be headed to the Providence Improv Festival on June 25, 2011 for a one night only performance. The show will take place at the Trinity Repertory Company Theater at 201 Washington Street in Downtown Providence at 11pm.

"We're really excited to bring our brand of musical improv to Providence," said group member Evan Watkins. "This will be our first visit to the festival and we couldn't be more excited to show the people of Providence what musical improv is all about."

The group, which has been together for a little over two years, has spread their special eclectic brand of musical improv across the country. They have performed at various improv theaters in New York including the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, The Magnet Theater, The People's Improv Theater, Gotham City Improv, and recently ended their two year run of shows at The Creek and The Cave in Long Island City, Queens. They are now gearing up to begin a new monthly show at the historic Player's Theatre in the heart of Manhattan's Greenwich Village.

"We've heard great things about Providence," said Watkins. "This is our first year at this festival, and hopefully we'll be able to come back next year."

Dumpster Tequila is comprised of members trained at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in NYC. Group members include Patty Devery, Maggie Lehrman, Brian Waters, Evan Watkins, Ben Whitehouse, and Julia Wiedeman, with musical direction by Joel Esher.
