The Dumbo Arts Center (DAC), will be hosting a party to mark the closing of Field Transitions | Memory Screens, a solo exhibition of new video work by Sean Capone, on Thursday, August 5, from 6:30-11PM. The Center is located on 30 Washing Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
There will be DJ sets by John Dunn of Wax Poetics and Bennett 4 Senate of WFMU Radio. The free exhibition will be open from 6-8:30 PM, with the DJs starting at 8:30 PM. There is a $5 suggested admission, and $3 drinks. The exhibition will be open until August 8, 2010, and the gallery is open Thursday - Sunday from 12-6PM. Visitors can take the F train to York Street, the A/C train to High Street, or the B62 bus to York and Gold Streets. More information can be found on the website, www.dumboartscenter.org.
Sean Capone is from Rochester NY, and received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has lived and worked in New York City since 2004. His studio The Supernature was established in 2007 to explore aesthetic applications of the moving image in online and physical environments.
