International Israeli singer-songwriter
Dudu Fisher will end his limited engagement of his critically-acclaimed show "Jerusalem," on Wednesday, March 30.
Presented by the Museum of Jewish Heritage and produced in association with the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, "Jerusalem" brings history to life, retelling the rise of the Israeli Capitol through story, song and visual effects. Award-winning composer, pianist and long-time
Michael Buble' collaborator Tomer Adaddi serves as Music Director.
Known from this work as the singing voice of Moses in Dreamwork's Prince of Egypt and his stirring performance as Jean Valjean in the Broadway and West End productions of "LES MISERABLES", after originating the role in the Israeli production and his Off Broadway show "Never on a Friday",
Dudu Fisher is now widely-recognized as the Voice of Israel. As a cultural ambassador Fisher has performed for United States' Presidents Obama and Clinton, Pope Benedict XVI, the British Royal Family, and the Thai Royal Family.
The son of a Holocaust survivor, Fisher has used his talents to enhance the cultural richness of his heritage on a global scale. As a recording artist he has used the power of song to spread messages of love, peace and tolerance. In the 80s, Fisher was the first Israeli artist allowed to sing in the Soviet Union before perestroika.
"Jerusalem" is performed at NYC's Museum of Jewish Heritage, 36 Battery Place, and closes on Wednesday, March 30 following its 7:30pm performance.
