Ducdame Ensemble is providing a special backstage glimpse into their upcoming production of FUENTE OVEJUNA. Two episodes of TABLING: THE PODCAST were released today in anticipation of the New York International Fringe Festival run of FUENTE OVEJUNA, beginning Saturday, August 15, 2015.

A sister project of Ducdame Ensemble, TABLING: THE PODCAST gives a behind-the-scenes look at the "table work;" the work done prior to the actors getting up on their feet in rehearsals. The podcast aims to give the audience a rarely seen glimpse into the early phases of the artistic process in which the concepts for the show are presented and hammered out by the entire creative team. Of the two episodes involving FUENTE OVEJUNA, one provides a reading of the show by members of the FringeNYC Cast, and the second offers a discussion on the background of this particular adaptation alongside the historical context of the play. TABLING: THE PODCAST is available on iTunes and online at www.tablingpodcast.com.

Recently formed by graduates of the LONDON ACADEMY OF MUSIC AND DRAMATIC ART, Ducdame Ensemble gives this adaptation of FUENTE OVEJUNA its USA premiere. Directed and adapted by Sundance London Award winner, William Oldroyd, FUENTE OVEJUNA tells the story of the oppression, rebellion, love and sacrifice required to spark the revolution of 15th Century Spain's 99%.

The production is lead by Sam Gilroy (Showtime's Billions) as Commander Gomez de Guzman. Samantha Blinn, Brittany Chandler, Jack Collard, Ian Harkins, Cori Hundt, Alexander Kirby, Jane May, Brandon Petty, Kelly Strandemo and Will Wilder round out the cast. Ariana Karp is the assistant director, and a producer of TABLING: THE PODCAST.

FUENTE OVEJUNA will play the Theater at the 14th Street Y on Saturday August 15th at 7:30pm, Sunday August 16th at 9:30pm, Saturday August 22nd at 8pm, Sunday August 23rd at 3:15pm and Wednesday August 26th at 4:30pm. The running time is 60 minutes. Ticketing and other information are available on www.ducdameensemble.com and on the FringeNYC website: www.fringenyc.org.
