The Drowsy Chaperone's Tony Award-winning composing team, Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, and five-time Emmy nominee Georgia Engel, who is one of the stars of that hit musical, will appear at the national launch of PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk's inspiring new book, "50 Awesome Ways Kid Can Help Animals."

The event will be on Friday, November 10th at noon sharp at Barnes & Noble (1972 Broadway at 66th Street).

"Lambert, Morrison, and Engel will be performing two quirky original songs based on the book," according to press materials.

"How do you rouse today's TV- and computer-dazed kids from their comfy confines and get them busy making the world a better place? Newkirk, who has transformed animal rights from an obscure social movement into all the rage among young people, has the answer. With more than 1.2 million members and supporters worldwide, PETA's engine is powered by youth—many barely in their teens. So it comes as no surprise that Newkirk's latest book focuses on kids who realize that when it comes to animals, cruel is never cool."
