A public clothing and accessory drive to benefit Dress for Success will be held at the Winter Garden Theatre, Broadway home of global smash hit musical, Mamma Mia!. Mamma Mia! stars, FedEx volunteers and a specially-designed FedEx Special Delivery truck will help collect donations to benefit disadvantaged women as they re-enter the workforce. Donors can enter to win a Mamma Mia! package, including dinner, tickets to the show and other prizes.
Most needed items are handbags, accessories, new white blouses, plus-sized suits, career blazers. The clothing drive occurs Wednesday, September 26 from 5PM-8PM. The Winter Garden Theatre is located at 1634 Broadway at 50th Street, New York.
The general public is invited to donate to the drive. Companies located in midtown are encouraged to hold office drives and add their collections to the event on Wednesday evening. For companies interested in participating, please call 212-532-1922 x41.
This public drive is being held in conjunction with Dress for Success' annual affiliate conference, which brings together more than 100 leaders from 86 Dress for Success affiliates from across the country. This year the three-day leadership conference takes place in New York City with executives attending the conference and a special performance of Mamma Mia! on Wednesday, September 26.
