Dragonfly Studio & Productions Announces New Workshop Series

Dragonfly Studio & Productions will be hosting Tony Award winning producer and award winning director, Kenny Howard, in a 6 week acting intensive workshop starting March 28, 2019 for ages 15-25! This workshop will be the first of a quarterly series Dragonfly Studios will produce covering various fields of study in the performing arts and entertainment industries. Tuition is $200 and classes will be held on Thursdays from 7:00-9:00pm from March 28th through May 2nd at DRAGONFLY STUDIO 129 located 15 minutes from Downtown Orlando at 129 W McKey St, Ocoee, FL 34761. All levels of experience welcome!

-Theatre Monologue Selection & Analysis
-Audition Do's And Don't's
-In-depth Scene Work And Staging
-Character Development
-Immediate Feedback From Industry Professional

Kenny Howard has been directing and producing for over 20 years. He has produced eight Broadway shows, one West End transfer, three national tours. He has won a Tony Award for Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, has 5 additional Tony Nominations, 6 Drama Desk Nominations, and two Grammy nominations. He has directed Off-Broadway, as well as written and directed two shows for Norwegian Cruise Line. He also has used his New York friends to perform both at the Abbey (Norbert Leo Butz, Well Strung, Jeremy Jordan, etc.) as well as called upon them to help our community heal, when he produced and directed From Broadway with Love: A Benefit Concert for Orlando.
In the Orlando Area he has directed over thirty plays receiving directing awards for such local productions as Heathers (Dr. Philips Center), Cabaret (The Abbey), The Flick (Dr. Philips Cabaret), God Of Carnage (The Abbey), 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee (Garden Theatre), just to name a few. He is a graduate of UCF and currently the President of the Orlando International Fringe Festival.
