THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE is a funny and deeply moving new musical from the author of Beaches, about a Jewish grandmother struggling to share her legacy. Once the darling of Yiddish comedy theatre in 1930s Warsaw before her narrow escape to New York, Bubbie has had quite a life. But what will it all mean if she can't pass her stories to her daughter and granddaughter? A tale that spans three generations of women and dances playfully from New York to the Old World, THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE celebrates the importance of learning from our past, the strength we find in our families and the extraordinary power of laughter.

The creative team includes Paul Gemignani (Musical Direction), Michael Starobin (Orchestrations), Andy Blankenbuehler (Musical Staging), Riccardo Hernandez (Sets), Ann Hould-Ward (Costumes), James F.
