On Monday, January 11, the legendary Donald Pippin will bring his popular show A Maestro's Memoirs to historic Guild Hall for a special performance benefiting New York actors in financial crisis.
Using clips, stories and live performance, A Maestro's Memoirs offers a unique glimpse at the many defining moments of Pippin's illustrious career and a true insider's look at the world of Broadway.
As a Musical Director, Donald Pippin has led the orchestras for some of Broadway's biggest shows including Mame, A Chorus Line, and Oliver!, for which he won the Tony. For 14 years, Pippin was the Musical Director for Radio City Music Hall, and he received an Emmy for his work on the special Broadway Sings Jule Styne. As a pianist, Pippin has accompanied greats like Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Julie Andrews and Angela Lansbury.
