Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical masterpiece LES MISERABLES begins previews on Broadway tomorrow, Saturday, March 1 at the Imperial Theatre. The cast of the new LES MIZ features Ramin Karimloo (West End and Toronto star of LES MISERABLES, and The Phantom of the Opera and Love Never Dies in London) as Jean Valjean; Will Swenson (Tony Award-nominated star of Broadway's Hair and Priscilla Queen of the Desert) as Javert;Caissie Levy (West End and Broadway star of Ghost and Hair and Elphaba in Broadway's Wicked) as Fantine; Nikki M. James (Tony Award winner for The Book of Mormon) as Eponine; Andy Mientus (who captured the hearts of TV viewers with his portrayal of Kyle Bishop on the NBC series "Smash") as Marius; Samantha Hill (Christine in The Phantom of the Opera) as Cosette; acclaimed Canadian actor Cliff Saunders (The 39 Steps) as Thenardier; Tony Award-nominee Keala Settle (Hands on a Hardbody) as Madame Thenardier and Kyle Scatliffe (the West End production of The Scottsboro Boys) as the revolutionary Enjolras.

The LES MIZ ensemble includes Erin Clemons, Joshua Colley, Emily Cramer, Natalie Charle Ellis, Jason Forbach,Heidi Giberson, Nathaniel Hackmann, Mia Sinclair Jenness, Andrew Kober, Gaten Matarazzo, Chris McCarrell,Melissa Mitchell, Dennis Moench, Adam Monley, Betsy Morgan, Angeli Negron, Melissa O'Neil, Max Quinlan, John Rapson, Terance Reddick, Arbender Robinson, Christianne Tisdale, Mckayla Twiggs and Aaron Walpole. The swings are Cathryn Basile, John Brink, Ben Gunderson, Weston Wells Olson and Rachel Rincoine.

Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, LES MISERABLES is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score includes the classic songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Stars," "Bring Him Home," "Do You Hear the People Sing?," "One Day More," "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables," "Master Of The House" and many more.


RAMIN KARIMLOO
Jean Valjean

Ramin Karimloo is currently starring to great acclaim as "Valjean" in the Toronto production of Les Miserables, a role he also played in London's West End, where he also received the Theatregoers' Choice Award for his performance. In London, he also performed as "The Phantom" in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera, as well as the show's 25th Anniversary production at the Royal Albert Hall. He was personally selected by Andrew Lloyd Webber to play "The Phantom" in the London world premiere of the show's sequel,Love Never Dies, for which he was nominated for an Olivier Award as Best Actor in a Musical. His association with Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera also includes having played "Enjolras" and "Raoul," respectively, in the West End productions of each show. He was also honored to have performed the role of "Enjolras" in the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert at the 02 Arena in London. He also performed in the U.K national tours of Miss Saigon and Sunset Boulevard. He has toured extensively performing his own special genre of music, Broadgrass. His solo album Human Heart is available from Sony Records. Ramin is Iranian-born and was raised in Canada.

WILL SWENSON
Javert

Will Swenson is currently starring in the new musical Little Miss Sunshine at Second Stage Theatre and was most recently was seen in the Manhattan Theatre Club hitMurder Ballad. Broadway/West End: Hair (Drama Desk, Tony nominations). Broadway: Priscilla: Queen of the Desert (Drama League Nomination), 110 in the Shade, Lestat and Brooklyn: the Musical. Off-Broadway: Rock of Ages, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Adrift in Macao, The Slugbearers of Kayrol Island and Camelot with the New York Philharmonic. Tours: Miss Saigon, We Will Rock You and Fame! Film and Television:Gods Behaving Badly, The Switch and the upcoming This is Where I Leave You, The Good Wife, Law & Order, 6 Degrees. Will is also a filmmaker. His first film Sons of Provo about a clueless Mormon boy band, which he directed, co-wrote and starred in, won several film festivals.

CAISSIE LEVY
Fantine

Caissie Levy most recently starred as "Sara" in the off-Broadway production of Murder Ballad. Other credits include originating the role of Molly in the Broadway and West End productions ofGhost The Musical, "Sheila" in the Tony Award®-winning Broadway and West End productions of Hair, "Elphaba" in the Los Angeles and Broadway productions of Wicked, "Penny" in the Broadway, 1st national tour and Toronto productions of Hairspray, and "Maureen" in the national tour of Rent. Selected recordings include the original London cast recording of Ghost The Musical, the Grammy nominated Broadway revival cast recording of Hair and her debut EP, With You, featuring stripped down arrangements of songs from her Broadway shows, available on iTunes, CDBaby and at caissielevy.com.

NIKKI M. JAMES
Éponine

Nikki M. James originated the role of "Nabalungi" in the Tony Award-winning musical The Book of Mormon, for which she received the Tony Award as Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Other Broadway credits include All Shook Up and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Additional theater credits includeRomeo and Juliet, Caesar and Cleopatra opposite Christopher Plummer at Stratford Shakespeare Festival, The Wiz at La Jolla Playhouse, Bernarda Alba at Lincoln Center, House of Flowers at Encores! and Walmartopia. Nikki's theater workshops include "Lizzie" in Baby(Papermill/NJPAC) and Beehive on Broadway. She appeared at New York Theater Workshop in the limited engagement of Fetch Clay, Make Man. She recently performed a one woman cabaret show to a sold out audience at 54 Below. She recently wrapped filming the movie Lucky Stiff, co-starring Jason Alexander. Nikki will also appear in the film The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, starring James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain. Nikki has appeared in a variety of TV shows such as 30 Rock, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Third Watch and The Jury.

SAMANTHA HILL
Cosette

From Winnipeg, Canada, Samantha joins Les Miserables direct from the recent hit Toronto production. Prior to that, she made her Broadway debut as "Christine Daaé" in The Phantom of the Opera as part of the show's year-long 25th Anniversary celebration. Other shows in her native Canada include: August: Osage County (Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre); The Light in the Piazza (Patrick Street Productions);Spring Awakening (Winnipeg Studio Theatre); Annie, Beauty and the Beast (Rainbow Stage); Nine(Dry Cold Productions); andChicago (Mayfield Theatre). Samantha received a 2012 Ovation Award nomination for her work in The Light in the Piazza in Vancouver, British Columbia. Samantha was also a part of the 2013 Tony Awards, performing with Phantom. She completed her BFA in Acting at the University of Alberta and has a BA in Theatre from the University of Winnipeg.

ANDY MIENTUS
Marius

Andy Mientus will be making his Broadway debut in Les Miserables. A Pittsburgh native, he toured the country in the first national tour of Spring Awakeningand appeared in MCC Theater's production of Carrie. On television, he was a series regular on the NBC musical drama Smash, and this season has recurring roles on both the FX comedy Anger Management and the ABC Family drama Chasing Life.

CLIFF SAUNDERS
Thénardier

Cliff Saunders has received critical acclaim for his current portrayal of "Thenardier" in the Toronto production of LES MISÉABLES. On Broadway he co-starred in the critically-acclaimed, Tony Award®-nominated hit The 39 Steps(Roundabout Theatre, Cort Theatre and Huntington Theatre in Boston) (IRNE Award -Best Supporting Actor). Other theater credits include - Spamalot (Citadel Theatre), The Real World? (Tarragon), Lord of the Rings, Beauty and The Beast (Princess of Wales Theatre), two seasons at the Stratford Festival, as well as working at Soulpepper, Canstage, Elgin, Winter Garden, The Grand, Aquarius, Royal Alexandra, YPT, Crows Videocab, Blythe and many more. Film and TV credits include - Louis Cyr,Lost Girl, Murdoch Mysteries, Cracked, Outlander, Please Kill Mr Know It All, Roxy Hunter, Open Range, Midwives, Joan of Arc, Monk and Ron James Show, to name just a few.

KEALA SETTLE
Madame Thénardier

Keala Settle received a 2013 Tony Award nomination for her performance in Hands On A Hardbody on Broadway. Her portrayal of "Norma Valverde" also garnered her Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations and a Theatre World Award. Other Broadway/New York: Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, Violet (Encores). National Tours: South Pacific (Bloody Mary), Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad). She is currently appearing as the "Fortune Teller" in Side Show at the La Jolla Playhouse and recently played the "Narrator" in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Ogunquit Playhouse. Television: The Big C.

KYLE SCATLIFFE
Enjolras

Kyle Scatliffe was born in Washington, D.C. and trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NY. His theater credits include Ragtime(Zach Theatre), Oklahoma (5th Avenue Theatre), A Christmas Carol: The Concert (Baltimore Symphony Orchestra/PBS), 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Alabama Shakespeare Festival) and "Haywood Patterson" in the London premiere of The Scottsboro Boys.

JOSHUA COLLEY
Gavroche

Previous Broadway credits: Newsies ("Les"), 25th Anniversary National Tour of Les Miserables ("Gavroche"), Nickelodeon's animated television series Peter Rabbit ("Pig Robinson"). Joshua would like to thank his parents, his twin brother Cameron and CESD talent for all their support.
