DiverseCity Theater offers 'The Female Heart'

The Female Heart, a poignant story of the desperate choices two siblings make to escape life in the infamous garbage dump community of the Philippine's Smokey Mountain, will make its world premiere Sunday, February 25, 8:00 p.m., at Theatre Row's The Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street).

Written by Linda Faigao-Hall, (National Endowment for the Arts winner) and directed by Jaime Richards, the play is presented by Diverse-City Theater in association with Ensemble Studio. It is set for a limited three week run until March 13th. Tickets are available through Ticket Central for $15, and can be purchased by calling 212 279-4200 or online at

The Female Heart features Rona Figueroa (Miss Saigon, Nine), and Victor Lirio (A Long Season at the Public Theater and the Ensemble Studio Theatre's Octoberbest). The Female Heart was a play-in-residence at EST's Summer Conference Series the summer of 2004.
