The final 16 Broadway performances of Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID are sold out, with cancellations and day-of standing room tickets the only means of seeing the show.

Lines will form at the Lunt-Fontanne box office for cancellations; $26.50 standing room locations are sold only on the day of the performance, in-person at the box office (open 10am-8pm, Monday; 10am-8:30pm, Tuesday-Saturday and 12pm-6pm on Sunday).

Hailed by TIME magazine's Richard Zoglin as "one of the most ravishing shows I have ever seen on a Broadway stage," THE LITTLE MERMAID was the #1 selling new Broadway musical of 2008 and will have amassed sales of over $90 million by the time it plays its final performance. By that time the show, one of just two new musicals from the 2007-08 season still running, will have been seen by well over a million guests.

The extraordinary success of THE LITTLE MERMAID began with its sold-out seven-week pre-Broadway engagement at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. When the show concluded its run in September of 2007, it was one of the most highly attended events in DCPA history, and the most successful out-of-town tryout for Disney Theatrical Productions. THE LITTLE MERMAID began its Broadway run at the Lunt-Fontanne on November 3, 2007 with sold-out previews and has continued with million dollar grosses throughout this summer.

The national tour of THE LITTLE MERMAID is slated to launch in fall 2010 and the title is on track to have a number of international productions.

The cast of THE LITTLE MERMAID currently features Chelsea Morgan Stock (‘Ariel'), Faith Prince (‘Ursula'), Drew Seeley (‘Prince Eric'), Norm Lewis (‘King Triton'), Rogelio Douglas Jr. (‘Sebastian'), Eddie Korbich (‘Scuttle'), Jonathan Freeman (‘Grimsby'), Tyler Maynard (‘Flotsam'), Eric LaJuan Summers (‘Jetsam'), Robert Creighton (‘Chef Louis') and Major Curda and Brian D'Addario (alternating as ‘Flounder').

THE LITTLE MERMAID's journey began with a pre-Broadway engagement at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (July 26 - September 9, 2007). Broadway performances began on Saturday, November 3, 2007 and the show officially opened on Thursday, January 10, 2008.

Led by the award-winning director, Francesca Zambello, some of the theatre's most innovative artists have collaborated to create THE LITTLE MERMAID. The score features the classic songs: "Part of Your World," "Kiss the Girl" and the Academy Award®-winning Best Original Song, "Under the Sea," composed by eight-time Academy Award® winner Alan Menken and his longtime collaborator, the late Howard Ashman, as well as 10 new songs by Mr. Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater. The book for the musical is by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-winning playwright Doug Wright.

THE LITTLE MERMAID's visionary team also includes: Olivier Award winner Stephen Mear (choreography), George Tsypin (scenic design), Tatiana Noginova (costume design), Tony Award® winner Natasha Katz (lighting design), John Shivers (sound design), David BrIan Brown (hair design), Angelina Avallone (make-up design), Sven Ortel (projection & video designer), Danny Troob (orchestrations) and Michael Kosarin (musical direction).
