On Monday, April 28th, the leading ladies of Disney's current hit musicals, Kissy Simmons ('Nala' in The Lion King), Sierra Boggess ('Ariel' in The Little Mermaid) and Ashley Brown ('Mary Poppins' in Mary Poppins) performed at the New York Pops 25th Annual Spring Gala. The event honored James Nederlander Sr., James Nederlander Jr. and the New York Yankees.
Sierra Boggess and
Kissy Simmons, making their Carnegie Hall debuts, joined
Ashley Brown in singing an elegant medley of songs from Disney films: "Hi Diddle Dee, An Actor's Life for Me," "A Dream is a Wish..." and "When you Wish" with music performed by the New York Pops.
The concert was conducted by Steven Reineke. The evening was hosted by
