Disney Theatrical Productions is celebrating 15 years on Broadway by offering "$15 FOR 15" - 15 days to purchase companion tickets for THE LITTLE MERMAID, Mary Poppins or THE LION KING for $15. Beginning at noon this Sunday, April 5 until 11:59 PM on Sunday April 19, theatre-goers will have the opportunity to buy a $15 companion ticket for all three popular Disney on Broadway shows with the purchase of a regular priced ticket to more than 125 performances throughout the spring.

"When I look back on our 15 year history, one achievement that continues to be a great source of pride is our ability to bring first-time theatre goers to Broadway," said Thomas Schumacher, producer and president of Disney Theatrical Productions. "We've helped instill a love of theatre in adults and children alike, and being able to broaden that reach with an opportunity like this is profoundly gratifying."

Disney's "$15 FOR 15" ticket offer is valid for select performances between April 21 and May 31, 2009. With this special limited offer, buyers can purchase a ticket for $15 to any of its three shows with the purchase of a regular priced ticket to the same show in select seating locations. Tickets can be bought online at Ticketmaster, by phone, at the box offices, or through a special website created for this offer, www.DisneyOnBroadway.com/15. Some restrictions apply. Disney Theatrical Productions began its 15 year history on the Great White Way with the opening of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at the Palace Theatre on April 18, 1994. Since that time, Disney has produced six award-winning musical productions, which, cumulatively, have played an astonishing 33 years to date and have been seen by over 21 million people in New York City alone. Two of those musicals - BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and THE LION KING - rank among the top 10 longest running Broadway shows in history. In the same period, Disney reclaimed and restored the historic New Amsterdam Theatre, home to Mary Poppins since 2006.

Disney's Broadway musicals have gone on to national tours and licensed productions on almost every continent around the world. Through its educational outreach department, Disney has partnered with New York City schools and it has contributed to community charitable organizations like Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

For the past 15 years, DISNEY THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS (DTP) has been a leading producer of live Stage Entertainment on Broadway and around the world. Currently under the direction of producer and president Thomas Schumacher, DTP has produced six award-winning Broadway musicals including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Elton John & Tim Rice's Aida, TARZAN®, Mary Poppins, a co-production by Disney and Cameron Mackintosh, and The Little Mermaid. In total, these six shows have been seen by over 21 million people in New York alone and, cumulatively, over 82 million people worldwide. Thanks to the tremendous appeal of the Disney brand and its beloved characters, DTP has for 15 years brought new audiences to Broadway, many of whom have never been to the theatre before. Additionally, DTP produces and licenses its Broadway musicals around the world reaching a global annual audience of more than 10 million people in over 40 countries. DTP licenses musical titles for local schools and community productions through a partnership with Music Theatre International. Through its educational outreach department, DTP partners with New York City schools to bring young audiences to Broadway and DTP has donated regularly to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, among other charitable organizations.
