From 1 January to 13 February 2014, over 50 musicals, plays, dance productions, entertainments and family shows will offer tickets from as little as £10 so everyone has the chance to experience the magic of London theatre.
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: 'Get Into London Theatre is a fantastic opportunity to get your hands on some great value tickets and experience why our theatre is the envy of the world. There's a staggering variety of top notch dramas, musicals and blockbuster shows on offer, so make your choice and make it a night - or matinee - to remember. It'll be a fabulous curtain raiser for 2014.'
There is a host of sensational shows to choose from including long-running West End hits Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia! and War Horse, alongside newcomers Stephen Ward, The Commitments and From Here To Eternity. Fans of dance can enjoy Swan Lake or The Snowman, plus there are lots of family-friendly shows taking part such as Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain Part Two!, The Gruffalo and Disney's The Lion King. It's not just West End theatres but a range of venues across the capital have signed up to the promotion including the Old Vic, New Wimbledon, Sadler's Wells and the Barbican.
Mark Rubinstein, President of Society of London Theatre, which runs Get Into London Theatre, said: "We are thrilled to be launching the 13th annual Get Into London Theatre campaign. Year on year this scheme has grown in popularity attracting ever more audiences both old and new to the West End. We are delighted to be able to brighten up those post-Christmas blues by offering great tickets at affordable prices to an even wider range of diverse and exciting shows."
