Thousands of items from the University of Illinois At Urbana-Champaign have now been listed and archived on the Digital Public Library of America's official website.
Items from hundreds of years of theatre history are listed in the vast collection, which includes such striking pieces as original posters and playbills from productions dating as far back as the 1700s as well as portraits of actors, lithographs, sheet music, scores, instrument profiles, scripts, photographs and more.
Additionally, the easily navigable site offers biographies of theatrical luminaries and extensive theatrical history notes, as well.
