Tony winner Denis O'Hare is heading back to AMERICAN HORROR STORY.
In a new interview with Vulture, O'Hare confirmed that he'll be back for the fourth installment in Ryan Murphy's acclaimed horror anthology, AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW. O'Hare previously appeared in the first and third seasons of the show.
Set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950, Freak Show will feature AHS alum Jessica Lange as a German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S. O'Hare will play a "collector of freaks," a character who is '"at cross-purposes with her. We're going to be like this," he said, crossing his fingers. "We'll have lots of scenes with each other, but we'll be battling,"' he told the publication.
Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy will all appear as performers rescued by Lange's character. Emma Roberts is also in negotiations to return.
FREAKSHOW will air this October on FX.
O'Hare most recently finished filming HBO's The Normal Heart, also with Murphy. His other upcoming projects include The Town That Dreaded Sundown, Site 146 and Dallas Buyers Club. He has also appeared on TV in The Good Wife and True Blood. Past film credits include J. Edgar, Milk, Charlie Wilson's War, Half Nelson, Garden State, 21 Grams and more.
O'Hare's Broadway credits include Elling, Inherit the Wind, Sweet Charity, Assassins, Take Me Out, Major Barbara, Cabaret, Racing Demon, and the US tour of Finian's Rainbow. He has appeared off-Broadway in Uncle Vanya, A Spanish Play, Pig Farm, Vienna: Lusthaus (revisited), Helen, Ten Unknowns, The Devils, Lonely Planet, Silence, Cunning, Exile, The Arabian Nights, Woyzeck, and Hauptman.
