Denis Jones to Direct Broadway Bares 16: New York Strip

Broadway veteran Denis Jones is set to direct this year's year's "Broadway Bares 16: New York Strip," in which over 200 of Broadway's sexiest chorus boys and girls will take it off to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

This year's event is scheduled for Sunday, June 18 with shows at 9:30 PM and midnight at the Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd Street).

Founded by director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell, the sexy annual evenings have proven to be big money-makers for BC/EFA. Last year's Broadway Bares took in a record-breaking
$654,000.

Jones last appeared on Broadway in Never Gonna Dance, and has also performed in The Full Monty, Chicago, Little Me and Grease. He served as associate choreographer for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and choreographed the recent benefit concerts of A Wonderful Life and On the Twentieth Century for the Actors' Fund.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fund raising and grant making organization. BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American theater community to an urgent worldwide health crisis. By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of theatrical community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States. Since it's founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over $100 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV, or HIV-related illnesses.
