Drawn in Brooklyn . curated by John Bemelmans Marciano
Brooklyn Public Library presents a festival and exhibition of children's book art curated by John Bemelmans Marciano and featuring the work of over 30 illustrators who live and work in Brooklyn, from the most exciting newcomers in publishing to the legends of the business.

The exhibition showcases over a hundred pieces of art from such books as Duck for President, the Curious Garden, Moonshot, and Madeline and the Cats of Rome, and includes such Caldecott and Coretta Scott King award winners as Leo and Diane Dillon, Brian Selznick, Paul O. Zelinsky, Bryan Collier, Pat Cummings, and Brian Pinkney.

The original picture book art of 34 illustrators is featured in the Grand Lobby. In the Youth Wing, the artists reveal the process behind their work with sketches, models, tools and more.
