David Zwirner will participate in this year's ArtRio (Warehouse 3, Booth 7C/8D), the gallery's inaugural year at the fair and its first major presentation in South America.
David Zwirner is showing a range of work, with a concentration on Minimalist and Conceptual artists, including Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, On Kawara, John McCracken, and Fred Sandback. Also presented are photographs by Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Stan Douglas, Thomas Ruff, and Christopher Williams. Among the works on view are "tile photographs" from 1985 by James Welling and sculptures by Al Taylor. Both artists' exhibitions just opened at David Zwirner in New York. Additionally featured are works on paper and paintings by Francis Alÿs, who recently participated in documenta 13; paintings by Chris Ofili; works on paper by Marcel Dzama; a 1999 watercolor by Raoul De Keyser; and a significant portrait by American painter, Alice Neel (Joey Skaggs, 1967).
