After what sources call an "exasperating" back-and-forth with Baselworld, the international watch and jewelry fair, David Yurman has pulled out as an exhibitor, reported WWD.

David Yurman confirmed to WWD that it won't be participating in order to focus on its growing international business.

Baselworld is a yearly trade show that takes place in Basel, Switzerland. It is regarded as the premier fair for watch and jewelry brands. This year it is scheduled for April 25 to May 2, 2013.

Sources from Yurman deny speculation that petty disputes over booth location is what led to the company's withdrawal.

"With a burgeoning global business and a focus on retail and shop-within-shop properties, we have decided to market ourselves independently of Basel next year," the New York-based brand said. "We have been strong supporters of Basel and our participation has long been a highly effective and engaging platform for our company."
